Hi, my name is Bethan and I am a pluralistic counsellor. This means that as a counsellor I appreciate that every person and their situation is unique to them, however similar it seems, and believe that as a result of this, a personalised approach to counselling can be helpful, taking into account the individual’s unique background and needs. I’m an experienced counsellor, and alongside my practice, I have worked with Mind supporting many people with their mental health, a sexual violence charity and a grief charity.

As a counsellor, I am able to offer a safe, non-judgmental space to talk to somebody who is impartial, to support you in understanding and accepting any complicated feelings, working together on specific goals, or identifying and reducing unhelpful patterns you have found yourself in, such as behavioural or thinking patterns.

More specifically, as a counsellor, I can help to support you with difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, stress, traumatic experiences, confidence and low self-esteem, or bereavement. Counselling is a very individual experience, and if these examples don't match with what you are feeling or going through, you are not alone. Counselling can help to support people with a huge range of difficulties and this is something we can discuss together in a free, 15 minute consultation.

Currently, I can offer sessions over the phone, online via Zoom, or face to face in Blackwood, NP12. I am able to offer reduced rates for students and counsellors. I can offer weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions, and can also offer sessions as a one off if needed.
